Connecting Mercado Pago
You connect the business's Mercado Pago account to take payment for orders, confirm it after a transfer, and disconnect it.
Takeaway orders are paid with Mercado Pago when they're placed, and the money goes straight to the business's Mercado Pago account: Restoman never touches it. Without a connected account, the locations take no takeaway orders. You open it from Payments, in the sidebar.
Who can: the owner, the admins and the accountant see it. Only the owner connects, confirms and disconnects the account.
Connecting the account
- Tap Connect with Mercado Pago.
- We take you to Mercado Pago: sign in with the business's account and authorize Restoman.
- You come back to Payments, which says "Done: we connected the Mercado Pago account.".
A Mercado Pago account works for one business only. The fees are your Mercado Pago account's, as today.
For your security, to connect, confirm or disconnect you need to have signed in to Restoman less than 15 minutes ago. If not, the page offers Sign out and sign in again, and you come back here.
The connected account
With the account connected you see which one it is (its Mercado Pago name and its email), when it was connected and by whom. Open Mercado Pago opens your account in a new tab.
Disconnect asks first. From then on the locations stop taking takeaway orders, until you connect another account. It can't be done while orders are awaiting payment or in progress, or refunds are pending. To cut it off completely, you can also unlink Restoman from your Mercado Pago account.
After a transfer
When the business changes owner, the connected account keeps taking payments, but someone else connected it. Payments and the home show "Your business's Mercado Pago account was connected by Ana. Confirm it or connect yours.", until the new owner chooses:
- Confirm this account: the account stays as it is and the notice goes away.
- Connect another: you connect your own account, as above, and the previous one is disconnected.
The admins and the accountant see the notice without the buttons. After 14 days, the notice says so: "The account has been waiting for confirmation for more than 14 days.".
