Tables and QR

You arrange a location's tables by section, choose which ones take orders, print their QR codes and regenerate one when needed.

Each table has its own QR code: the customer scans it and opens the location's menu at that table. You open it from Locations, with Tables and QR in the location's row.

Who can: everyone who works at the location sees them, except the kitchen. The owner, the admins and the manager change them. They can also regenerate a code, but Restoman support can't.

Sections

Sections group the tables, such as "Dining room" or "Sidewalk".

  • + Section adds one, at the end.
  • Rename changes its name. A location can't have two with the same name.
  • Delete removes it: its tables are left under No section, their QR codes still working.

Add tables

  1. In Add tables, enter From and To: "1" to "20" creates tables 1 to 20 at once. For a single one, leave To empty.
  2. If you want, enter how many Seats they have and choose the Section.
  3. Tap Add tables.

Up to 100 at a time. Two active tables at a location can't have the same number.

Change a table

  • Takes orders: when off, its QR shows the menu but doesn't allow ordering.
  • Edit changes its name or number, the seats and the section.
  • Archive removes it: its QR stops working. Archived tables are listed separately, with Reactivate.

A table's QR code

Tap a table to see its QR on the right, as it prints. While the QR codes can't be printed yet (the "Don't print these QR codes yet" notice), it isn't shown there.

  • Print opens an A4 sheet with six QR codes per page; Print every QR, the one for the whole location.
  • Regenerate QR gives it a new code: the printed one stops working at once, so you have to print and stick the new one. Useful if someone took or copied the QR.

The QR carries the table's code, not its number: changing its number doesn't change the QR.

What each message means

Don't print these QR codes yet Restoman hasn't moved to the new system yet: wait until we tell you to stick them.
There is already a section with that name at this location Choose another name.
There is already an active table with that name or number at this location Use another number, or archive the other one first.
Enter whole numbers, the first not above the last For example, From "1" To "20": numbers with no leading zeros, up to 9999.
This location reached the maximum number of tables A location has up to 500 tables, archived ones included.
