Option groups

What customers choose when ordering, such as the combo, the doneness or the sauces. Created once and used by as many products as you like.

In Menu, the Options tab holds the business's option groups: "Combo", "Doneness", "Sauces"… Each group is created once and added to the products that offer it. If you change it, it changes in all of them.

Who can: everyone sees them. The owner, the admins and anyone with a custom role that has "Product catalog: Edit" change them.

Create a group

  1. In Options, tap New group.
  2. Enter the Group name: customers see it above the options.
  3. Choose how many options are chosen:
    • Required, choose 1: customers must choose one to add the product.
    • Optional: they may choose none, or up to as many as you set in Up to.
    • Another rule: a Minimum and a Maximum of different options. "Choose 2 sauces" asks for two different sauces.
  4. Enter the options, one per row: the name, how much it Adds to price and Up to how many of it can be ordered (1 to 20). Another option adds a row; empty ones aren't saved.
  5. Tap Create group.

Then add it to its products from each one's page: under Option groups, check it and order it with the arrows. That's the order customers see them in.

An option's price

It's what it adds to the product's price: 1,000, or -2,000 for "No fries". Zero shows as "no charge". Don't write "+" in the name: the menu shows it on its own. If a dish would come to less than $ 0, it's charged $ 0.

Change a group

Tap Edit in its row:

  • Change the name or the rule and tap Save.
  • Each option is saved on its own: change its name, its price or its maximum and tap Save in that row. The up and down arrows change the order.
  • Add an option adds one at the end.
  • Archiving an option takes it out of the group; archived ones are listed separately, under Archived, with Reactivate.

Below, you see the products that offer the group.

Archive a group

Archive stops offering it, and you can reactivate it. While an active product offers it, it can't be archived: take it off the product first, from the product's page.
