Location settings
Each location's logo, cover photo and menu colour, what customers see, takeaway orders, the pause and tips.
In Settings you decide how a location's menu looks and how it takes takeaway orders. You open it from the sidebar, under Location, with the location chosen at the top.
Who can: the owner, the admins, the accountant and the location's manager see it. The owner, the admins and the manager change it. The owner and the admins, who edit the business's menu, change the logo and the cover photo: the manager sees them but doesn't change them. Cashiers can also pause and resume orders. An archived location shows its settings as they were, without changes.
View as a customer opens the location's menu as a customer sees it.
Identity
- Logo: it's the business's and shows on the menu of all its locations. Select Upload or Change and pick the image; it saves by itself. Remove takes it off.
- Cover photo: shows at the top of this location's menu. You upload it like the logo, and whoever can edit the business's menu changes it.
- Brand colour: pick one of the colours, or Other and type your own, such as
#2a7350, and select Save colour. Basic is no colour: the menu uses Restoman's theme. If your colour doesn't read well in light or dark mode, we adjust it a little and tell you.
Images go in JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB.
What customers see on the menu
The address, the phone, the cuisine, the tags and the price range show on this location's menu. Each has Shown on the menu: turn it off to hide it without deleting it.
- Address: the menu adds "View on Google Maps".
- Phone: customers tap it to call.
- Tags: such as "Kosher" or "Gluten-free". Type one and tap Add (or Enter); tap a tag to remove it. Up to 10, up to 30 characters each.
- Price range: from $ (cheap) to $$$$ (expensive), or Not set.
Select Save to save it all at once.
Takeaway orders
Takeaway turns on orders through the location's link: the customer orders, pays with Mercado Pago and picks up. At the top it says whether the location is Taking orders now.
- Ready in: how long the kitchen takes; the first pickup time offered is after it.
- Pickup times every: how often pickup times are offered.
- Print ahead: how long before the chosen time the ticket prints.
To turn takeaway on, the business needs its Mercado Pago account connected and the location its hours.
Pause orders
If the kitchen can't keep up, pause orders for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour or Until I resume. While paused, the menu still shows but no new orders come in. Resume opens them again sooner.
Payments
Shows whether the business's Mercado Pago account is connected. With Tips on, customers pick one of your percentages when they pay (up to four, from 1 to 50); none comes preselected. Select Save.
