# Reviews

> What customers say about each takeaway order, with their stars, and how to reply. Only your team and the person who left a review see it.

**Reviews** gathers the ratings customers leave at a location: 1 to 5 stars and, if they like, a comment. It's under **Location** in the sidebar.

A review is private: your team and the customer who left it see it, with your reply. It doesn't show on the menu or anywhere public.

**Who can:** the owner, the admins, the manager and the accountant read them. The owner, the admins, the manager and anyone with a [custom role](https://docs.restoman.mersich.net/en/guia/roles.md) that has "Reviews: Reply" reply to them. At an archived location, reviews show but can't be replied to.

## When a customer can rate

- Once per order, after [picking it up](https://docs.restoman.mersich.net/en/guia/mostrador.md) (when the order shows **Picked up**).
- Up to 14 days after picking it up.
- Only the person who placed the order, from their order on their phone.

## The list

At the top: the average stars and how many reviews the location has. Below, three filters:

- **All**.
- **Not replied**: the ones still without your reply.
- **1 and 2 stars**: the ones worth reading first.

Each review shows the stars, the customer's name, the order number (tap it to open the [order](https://docs.restoman.mersich.net/en/guia/pedidos.md)), when they left it and their comment. **Show more** brings older ones.

## Replying

1. In the review, write **Your reply** (up to 500 characters).
2. Tap **Post reply**.

Each review has one reply. To change it, tap **Edit reply**, change the text and tap **Save reply**. The reply says who wrote it, and it's recorded in the [activity](https://docs.restoman.mersich.net/en/guia/actividad.md).

Each order's detail also shows its review, if it has one.

## What each message means

| Message                                | What happened and what to do                |
| -------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| Write a reply of up to 500 characters. | The reply is empty or too long. Shorten it. |
